Havana Nights….

Anytime the opportunity presents itself to photograph SWAT Training it is a great thing! This training venue was behind locked gates in the small town of Havana, Florida just south of the Georgia State line on a hot August afternoon/evening. What follows are a few photographs taken during this training. The topic of the night….Bus Assaults! Among the vast number of training topics required of tactical units is the responsibility of rescuing children from School buses should they be taken hostage on a bus. Unfortunately this is a reality in today’s crazy world. Many thanks to the dedicated professionals who put their lives on the line and remain ever ready to address situations of this nature!

Team Members run to the bus once the command is given!
Team Leader Mike Trowbridge coaches his team between runs.
Team Members gather under shade and re-hydrate while receiving instructions between runs.

The importance of eyewear!
Various weapon systems are utilized to break windows
Spring loaded window punches are also effective! Members are forever challenged to use various tools to get the job done.
Every scenario is a learning experience and Team Members discuss what works (and what doesn’t).
Team Leaders discuss tactics

Go!
Rake n’ Run

We remain forever grateful that during a hot August afternoon these dedicated professionals brave the late summer heat to prepare themselves for events such as a hostage situation on a school bus. Hopefully they will never have to use this training in a real life scenario but if they do they will be ready……Thank You gentlemen…
